Purchases and Refunds
Seconds Sales (Damaged Books)
These books are sold as seconds items, meaning they may have minor cosmetic imperfections. Imperfections may include small dents to the spine, scuff marks on the cover, or slight creasing/marks to internal pages. Despite these imperfections, the books remain intact, complete, and fully readable. By purchasing a seconds item, you acknowledge and accept the condition of the product as described and supplied.
Birchy’s Books cannot accept returns, exchanges, or issue refunds for seconds items due to these imperfections.
Other Purchases
For non-seconds (standard) products, Birchy’s Books will comply with all obligations under Australian Consumer Law. Refunds, replacements, or exchanges may be provided in cases where a product is:
- Faulty or defective,
- Not as described, or
- Does not perform as reasonably expected.
Change of Mind
Please choose carefully, as we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind purchases.
Refunds at Our Discretion
Any refunds outside of the conditions above are at the sole discretion of Birchy’s Books. Where a discretionary refund is approved, it will be processed back to your original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
Order Cancellations
Once an order has been placed and confirmed, cancellations are not guaranteed and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
